New Age Girl by Dead Eyed Dick

Today feels like Paris. For some reason this morning when I woke up, before I opened my eyes, for a split second I thought I was in Paris. I loved that split second. Why did it have to disappear. . . .

Life has been interesting these days. Nothing fantastic happening. I have been to the Cardinals baseball game 3 times in the past 2 weeks and all 3 times I haven't paid a dime for tickets, food or drinks. Sometimes working in advertising pays off, you get free tickets, which are really good tickets, and then your boss supplies the food and booze. Another kind of interesting point about my work is that when I came in half way drunk due to a really late night out after one of the baseball games, my boss handed me a beer so I wouldn't get hungover. Crazy.

I also managed to lose my shoes on that really late night out. I was walking out of the stadium and suddenly I had no shoes. I had them when we were leaving the stadium because I recall noticing a scuff on them when we were exiting. My life is crazy, where are my shoes.

Moving on from my ridiculousness . . .

This year I have decided to be all about Christmas. I am going to spread Christmas cheer throughout all the lands. So because of this I feel that I need to see The Tree (the one in Rockefeller Center) and ice skate in front of it. Only issue is finding someone willing to go. Apparently those I know don't have vacation days or can't afford it. Which blows by the way. It also makes me realize my situation isn't as bad as once thought. I guess I am pretty fortunate to have both a boss who likes to travel so gives me a lot of vacation days and the means to travel. If anyone out there wants to go with me let me know. I want to go Dec 10-13. I also applied for tickets to the Daily Show, which is a dream of mine. I hope I get them. I also hope I find someone to go with me.

I have begun a search for a new car. Sadly, Larry could go shortly and I need to be prepared. I have done some test driving and I have some more to do, but I think that I am leaning towards one car in particular. I randomly ended up driving a new Saturn Vue and really liked it. Plus, even though it is an SUV, it got 30 miles to the gallon highway. AWESOME! I don't think that I will get one till after the new year, but I am really enjoying test driving for now. I am going to test out a Mini Cooper next week. If I get the Cooper I am going to name it Nigel. How adorable is that. It's adorable.

I am heading to Louisville, KY this weekend to meet some really awesome people. My mom organizes a reunion of paratroopers who landed on D-Day. My grandpa was one of them so we do have a connection to these guys. I am kind of a history lover, so this is a pretty big deal to me. Plus, I get to go to the place that was featured on the Food Network during 'Throwdown with Bobby Flay'!

Ok, I must depart for now. But don't worry children, I will return.
