La Femme d'Argent

Al Gore would be so proud of me. I bought a Metro pass and come September first I am hanging up my car keys. Well, I still have to drive to the Metrolink lot, but that is a 3 min drive compared to my almost 35 min drive when you add in traffic. I hate the idea of sitting in an office all day so this gives me a 13 block walk to and from work. Plus with rising gas prices and my increasingly short temper in traffic, I figured this was a good idea.

Did anyone get a chance to read the article in Time about the Lady who created the POM Wonderful juice? It was a really good article. Quite the entrepreneur that one. Maybe the article was in Newsweek?

I'm kind of a competitive person. I didn't think that I was, but as time goes on, i discover how competitive I really am.

I recently discovered the most amazing bread known to man. I am a self proclaimed breadhead, so this is an area that I have some background in. The place is called Great Harvest Bread. Some of you people might be thinking, duh Jess, but just relax. I am a little slow at times. I first discovered this in Omaha. I went there at the end of July to see my sister and we went down to the farmer's market where this place had a booth. I recommend the Cinnamon Chip and use it to make French Toast. Yummy!

Birthday dinner turned out to be good. We went to the Drunken Fish. They had this drink called Mr. Miyagi, how was I not supposed to get that? Mike and I split the 'bowl' size drink. I really wanted it to come in a fish bowl, but I took the giant bowl it came in. Ohh so good. I would also recommend the deep fried Philly roll and the Spiderman roll. Amazing.

I have been taking random screen shots on my computer all day at work. I had to do it for a project and now I can't quit. Crazy, I know.

I got my first big kid paycheck the other day. It was very nice to see that much in my bank account. I have big plans for the signing bonus I got. I am putting some into my IRA and the rest saving. Man I am so cool with my budget.

I like the word fortuitous. We should all use it today. We should also watch the show Entourage as it is a very lovely show.
