That ball really travels

Right.

So I'm back. Did you know that I was gone? Well, you might have if recalled me telling you about my trip to Mexico with 4 friends. It was a really good, relaxing time and other than the fact that rained pretty much the entire time I was there, I would say that it went off flawlessly.

I don't usually get along with girls that well, especially since there was 5 and no where to run, but I must say that a girl time was rather enjoyable. Who knew?

We stayed at the Grand Palladium in the Rivera Maya area of Mexico. My days went something like wake, eat b-fast, lay by pool, read book, eat lunch, move to beach, nap, read, go back to room, shower, change, eat dinner, sit at bar and watch fun band where Mexicans cover American songs only they don't sound like they are speaking English due to accent, sleep. Oh and you might want to add in trying not to get eaten by the alligator that roamed the resort. OK, so it didn't exactly roam, but the fence that was holding it back didn't look all the secure. It could have taken it if it wanted to. Good thing captivity makes animals lazy.

That last line about animals in captivity being lazy is my latest observation. I realized when I was at the National Zoo the other week that when animals no longer worry about find food and not being eaten they become way lazy. This is why the Zoo kind of bores me. I mean I enjoy Lemurs as much as the next gal, but when they just lay there and not bother climbing on the cool rock formation the Zoo so happily provided them, well, it bores me. That doesn't mean I will stop going to the Zoo. It just means I will complain whilst there.

On to jobs - I pretty much decided that I don't really want to work for my internship company. I should want to, since everyone I know is having a hell of a time trying to find jobs, but I need something more. Last weekend I was dog sitting for my brother and I spent about 4 hours sending out resumes to some pretty out there places. I found the jobs on Monster and Craigs list and just sent them. You never know, maybe the people at Calvin Klein or Discovery Channel will give me a chance. I am not expecting to hear from them and I prepping for the talk I give myself when I try to make my current offer not seem so bad. But till that day comes, I am an emailing whore. I have officially talked myself into moving to either, LA or somewhere in the area, Chi-Town, NYC, Philly, Minneapolis and Washington DC. I think I just need to do something big right now and that something has to be stateside since I technically need to enter the real world. I seriously have no idea what will come of my hunt, but at least I tried and didn't just settle. I refuse to settle until I've tried.

I will post pictures of my trip later. Right now I have about 5 more episodes of Arrested Development to get through before I am done with the second season. Seriously kids, the show freakin rocks. I can not even tell you the ridiculousness of the show. You must watch.

Night Kids!
