AdRem

I can't really think if a smart way to start this post. I don't want to come right out and say the huge news I have. I wanted to weave it into a story about how a shitty day; me getting a speeding ticket, and a lot of hard work; almost 9 months of planning, working, creating, rehearsing, yelling, fighting, paid off in a major way. But right now my brain is fried. So I'll just say it.

We won!!!!!!

My competitive campaigns class, took 1st at districts yesterday and we will now compete at Nationals in June. This is the Postal Vault class for those of you who need some refreshing. This is the class that I started last August being so upset that we had a mailbox. This is the class that I spent my entire spring break at school for. This is the class that will go down in history.

It was so amazing. I was one of the presenters for the class. We had a 5th person, but she was our technical director and ran the Keynote presentation. We were the second to last team to present and that meant waiting all day in a hotel room where the nerves just grew. We calmed some by dancing and acting a fool, but still it was scary.

There had to be at least 120 people watching our presentation. Most of them were the other schools. It was so flippin great to watch their jaws drop as we presented our fully integrated marketing communications plan. The judges were in awe by our work. It was amazing. When we finished our class stood up and were cheering so loud, I think I got misty eyed. I have never felt that great in my entire life.

At the awards banquet I thought I was going to vomit. They took forever to announce the winners. When they didn't call our name for second place I moved my chair out from the table so I wouldn't hurt myself if we did win. I could not believe it, I still can't believe it. The next step is Nationals in San Fransisco. I have never been to the earthquake prone city by the bay. I don't care that how we do at Nationals. I just wanted to go. You don't get anything if you win Nationals besides a pat on the back and maybe a picture with Bobbie Coxs.

Ahhhhh life. How I love you.
