Another week passes and still no luck with my million dollar idea. Damn. . . .
So what's up? How's it going? That's nice.
School is really picking up. But I don't mind. I have always enjoyed school. Well, I will correct the statement. I have always enjoyed school where I get to pick my classes. The years of school where you are required to take classes sucked. I think that if I could be a professional student I would. I have this strong feeling that I will end my days being a teacher. I am really looking forward to that.
Tofurky is a funny word. It's basically a block of tofu that is shaped to look like a turkey. Clearly this is more of a Thanksgiving topic, but somehow the word came up today. They also have turducken. This is nothing like the tofurky, instead this is a boned turkey, stuffed with a boned duck, which is stuffed with a chicken, which is then stuffed with herbs and spices. Clearly this is very different from the tofurky.
Moving on.
The other movies that I watched during JIFF were City of God and Goodbye Lenin!. I have seen Lenin! before, but it's really funny so I figured that it was a good choice. City of God is a really good film. I have decided that I really like films in which one of the characters narrates. It actually doesn't even have to be one of the character, like in Amelie. A narrator really brings me closer to the movie. It makes it more personal. You see the film in a different light. City of God was kind of violence heavy, but it is about the ghetto of Rio, so I guess it kind of has to be. It was funny, go watch it.
I was at a table today surrounded by people obsessed with the TV show Lost. It sounded like they were speaking Comorian. I have never watched the show and really don't want to. I don't need another TV addition, Project Runway is enough.
Did you know that there are 6,912 living languages? That's a lot of languages. I watched this discovery channel special on the Three Gorges Dam in China. It's one and a half miles wide and more than 600 feet high that will create a reservoir hundreds of feet deep and nearly 400 miles long An estimated 1.2 million people will be need to be resettled due to the giant reservoir that the dam will create. Needless to say, it's a bit controversial. On top of the displaced persons, artifacts and temples dating back over 400 years are going to be swallowed up by the water. It will help easy the flooding and also cut back on the amount of coal China uses, but it is coming at a high cost. I hope it's all worth it China.
Right, well I am off to sort out the disaster known as my life. I have papers everywhere and a new filing cabinet waiting to be filled.
Have a good one kids.
Baby is soo cute!
Good times at school
Future Roomies
Brad and I on Ghostwriter memorial day. Notice the pens around the neck.
Brad knocked his front tooth on the wall then fall down in pain. It was kind of funny.
She's glowing. Clearly she picked the wrong spot at the table
Ice Cream?

Oh man I am so in love with "Lost". It is truly addictive. I highly recommend you borrow Season 1 from someone. When you can afford the time.
That might be the biggest draw back, the time issue. I figure that once school is done I can spend a good 3 days having a Losthon.
P.S. so jealous of Iceland. It looks amazing!
