No sign means I can dine

Agenda

1.  Introduction
2. School update
3. Déjà vu
4. Miscellaneous
5. Conclusion

1)  Welcome to November.  I greatly enjoy this time of year.  I love the colors on the trees.  Not to mention that we here in the Lou have been having some amazing days.  I love a good cloudless, blue sky, 70 degree day.

2)  Tomorrow I have one of the most anticipated moments of my college career happening.  Tomorrow I audition for a spot in the coveted Ad Campaigns competitive class.  I mentioned in a previous post somewhere about how the American Advertising Federation hosts an ad competition every year for colleges all over the US.  They give everyone the same case study and in the spring the competitions are held.  This years product is Postal Vault.  Any of this ringing a bell?  Well, the competitive class only has 15 spots open.  I am trying out for the number 1 creative position, the Creative Director.  There is some pretty stiff competition and I am almost scared.  See we had to write this paper explaining why we're the best person for the job.  I hate those types of papers.  I just hate trying to sell myself like some hooker on the street.  I feel that you just have to sit down and talk with me.  I am amazing in person.  I have to give a 20 min presentation to a panel of 3 people tomorrow at 3:40.  If we all could hold a moment of silence at that time and pray that I get the CD position that would be great.  I know the other people trying out for it, and all I can say is no.  They would not be right for the job.  They are not what is needed to get the job done.  They take other peoples shit.  How are you going to organize an entire campaign when you are worried that someone doesn't like you?  You aren't.  I really hope I get this.  It would so majorly blow if I didn't.

3)  Déjà vu.  I have been having a freaky number of déjà vu  experiences these days.  I have talked about déjà vu in my psych classes and know that there is no real explanation of it.  This pisses me off.   I like to know what things mean.  I like answers.  It makes for kicking ass at trivia nights.  Currently I am making up my own explanation for this crazy feeling.  It's kind of a cheese factor, but with all the uncertainty that is surrounding my future, I am saying that déjà vu is a way of knowing that you are on the right path.  Cheese, I know.  But maybe it's just what I am saying to justify my current course in life.  I like to know that I am headed in the right direction.  It's ridiculous I know.  But they have been happening at the oddest times.  It's not like there is ever an appropriate déjà vu  time, but it normally comes when I am doing something really important.  Like today, when I was typing up my hooker paper and I was on my 4th draft, which ended up being the final one.  Or earlier today, when I was presenting my Mag-Lev train project to my class.  It just felt like this is what I should be doing in life.  Call me crazy, but everything happens for a reason.

4)  I have discovered that having a weekly hospital treatment is great for catching up on the magazine reading.  Especially since my doctor gets really good magazines.  Even better is that after my shots, I am required to sit for 30 min to make sure I am not having any side effects.  This is 30 min of undisturbed Newsweek reading.  I even cancelled my subscription.  Why pay when I get it for free.  Not to mention my doc's office always has the latest Field and Stream.  Score.

5)  I think that this will conclude tonight's session.  You can tell that school is really getting to me when I make an agenda for a post.  Ohh kids, how I love it all.  It wouldn't be a post with out pictures, so I leave you tonight with images of the future advertisers of America.  It's pictures from Networking Wednesday's.  Have I mentioned my hate for networking?  Maybe later.

Goodnight kids.

Jo who works at a button factory
This is Joe.  We are in a major prank war.  I am currently waiting for retaliation from when I stapled all the pages of his textbook together.  But in my defense, he did throw wet tp all over my car.  He also works at a button factory.

Ahh the world of Advertising.

Natalie is from Dubai and I plan of visiting her one day soon.  Brad loves Disney.  It's funny

This is Rachel.  We didn't know a lot of backgorund on each other, so we had a meet and greet.  It was nice.  She is also trying out for the Creative Director role.

Rachel is really happy to be in Larry.  He is the coolest ride around.
