Right,
I am entering my last week here, and the small flame of joy inside of me grew to a out of control forest fire this weekend. I think it was the combo of being back in London and being with Christine in Dahlia's APT that did it for me.
London, by the way is fine. I am here to report to you that, other than a few closed off streets and missing people posters all over, the city acts like nothing ever happened. I think that the fact that they used to get bombed quite a bit back in the day from the IRA, has helped them cope. The news stories make it out to be extremely bad and act like no one will ever be able to return to normal. Well, I am here as proof that they have. Granted Oxford was more empty than usual on a Saturday afternoon, but the buses were full and the Tubes were running. London, will go on.
Christine and I were watching BBC News 24 this morning and we were told of a breaking story about a suicide bomber in Iraq. This lead us to conclude that while what happened in London was bad, just think about what life must be like there? I mean everyday we hear about someone blowing themselves up and taking 10 or 20 people with them. The death toll in London will most likely rise to maybe 70 in all. In a bad day in Iraq 70 people die. What the hell? I don't know, but something in my head just clicked. Here we are in London hearing about the horror of 50 people being killed and as a sidenote comes in this story on Iraq. Why is it OK to pass them off as a sidenote, yet when something bad, but not quite as bad as they have on a daily basis happens, the world must stop and action will be done to stop these people. I mean, don't we all deserve a chance to live in peace? As citizens of the earth, aren't we entitled to a feeling of safety around our neighbours? Yes, I know that I am being political and living in a dream world where we can get along, but remember this. Not too long ago some messed up fucks had a dream about bombing the Tubes and Buses in London. They saw their dream become a reality, why can't I see mine?
I really hate politics sometimes. But as always, remember to vote for me for President/Prime Minister.
Now onto a lighter topic.
We found these wigs while shopping. Here is Christine acting like she is in Hollywood with her husband beats me glasses and fake blonde hair.
Here is what I would look like if I would embrace all the is B-Town where I live back in the States. Word up Bro.
This is our Lost In Translation meets Dahlia with Short Hair picture. Shame how we were pretty much kicked out of the stre after that for taking photos/making fun of their products.
We needed a way to get all of our change to The Met so we could play pub games. Christine had the winner idea when she came up with this.
That looks like a rockin good time to me. Just think of all the Cluedo and Who Wants to be a Millionaire we can play with that.
The games can get rather intense at times. Full attention must be given at all times.
I really have missed Christine. We get along splendidly. Here is our victory picture after 3 games of winning Mario Party 6. I do recommend to all to play some form of Mario Party. It is always a good time. It was really funny because between the four people that were playing we spoke 11 languages. So when we would steal stars from each were bound to get yelled at in a language that you didn't understand. Did you know that the classic neck tie originated in Croatia? I just learned that last night. They also have splendid chocolate in Croatia. One of the guys there was from Croatia so he brought some as a thank you gift. On the adverts here, Croatia looks beautiful and he agreed. Also said that it was very cheap. Who wants to go to Croatia?
This pancake is for display purposes only.
I made pancakes this morning. They don't have any Aunt Jemima's so it was a home made adventure. They turned out well dispite me not having my amazing Pampered Chef Pancake Turner. Then I got the winner of idea to open an IHOP in Picadilly Circus. It would bank there. Just think about it. It would be 24 hours in the heart of London. A place you can get breakfast food, real breakfast food, all the time. I am a genius.

I will go to Croatia with you. Last week I told you that a girl I met in Germany might be interning in Geneva. Well, Dubravka is her name and she lives in Croatia. She keeps trying to get me to come visit her. So, if you ever truely want to go to Croatia. I am there! And I have a place for us to stay!
Enjoy your last week.
Jo
Seriously plan for next May. Dahlia wants to go too. It is going to be my 'Goodbye school world, Hello real world' trip. I will look into prices
