Motown Philly Back Again

The world makes me laugh at times. It's a funny place.

My internship ends today. That's cool.

I get to see Liz and Dahlia tomorrow. That's way cool.

By this time next week I will be on a plane going to Geneva from Budapest. That's rather neat.

By this time in 2 weeks I will be on a plane home and all this will just be another dream. That's sucky.

The weirdest part about traveling for me is that once you arrive back home it is almost like none of it really happened. I mean other than pictures and the odd souvenir, you really have nothing but memories to hold on to. You know that it all happened and that you were at all those places, but somehow it doesn't feel real.

Maybe I am just strange. Both are realistic options.

There might not be much communication from me for these next 2 weeks, you've warned. You might get some pictures tomorrow of my joyous reunion with Liz and Dahlia. I almost feel the need to post them to prove that they are real people. I must talk about them an awful lot. This is why I am glad that John is joining us this weekend so he knows that they do exist and that as a collective whole, we are awesome.

This past week at work has been a joke. All day I sit and send emails back and forth with Dahlia and John. I am glad to know that they are as equally bored as I am. Well Dahlia actually has some work, but both John and I are pretty much just wasting space.

I want to buy a cuckoo clock when I am in Switzerland. I mean how awesome would that be? I encouraged/made John buy one in Germany. It is a very cool clock. I think that might be what I have been missing all my life, my very own cuckoo. OR how awesome would that be to give NBS for her wedding? Ohhh the look on her face would be priceless. She would hate me.

Speaking of NBS, a friend from NYC - former employer - emailed me and said that NBS and my mom had come into the store. When she asked NBS which sister of mine she was she goes, "I'm Sarah. But friends of Jessica know me as NBS." Classic.

Did I mention to you what the wording is on NBS's invitation? Ohh wait for this kids, it's a real treat. I will just give you the opening line. And what I am about to write is the honest truth of that it says.

Your invited to attend the premiere of 'To Have and To Hold' Starring NBS ans her Lover. The show begins at . . . .

So the NBS and her lover part is not true, but the rest of it is. I am really pumped for this wedding folks. I think that if nothing else, it is going to be a good time just because of the ridiculousness. Also because I really want to see Dominic in a Tux. How cute is that one going to be. Ohh I just can't wait.

Here is a Dominic fun fact, everytime he sees a plane he shouts, "Hi Jessie." The kid breaks my heart.

Right, time for lunch with my team and then desk clean out.
