So I have been in Land of Neutrality a.k.a Switzerland for about a week now. The abbreviation for Switzerland is CH. I have been wondering how we get CH from Switzerland. I mean, are there letters there that I am missing? Well, I put an end to mystery this evening when I did a little googling on the topic. And now ladies and gentleman here is a Swiss fun fact about the CH.
The Helvetians, a celtic tribe, give their name to the Swiss territory: hence HELVETIA on Swiss coins and stamps, ch = Confoederatio Helvetica
