So this is what makes life divine

I have this presentation due Thursday in French class on the history of France. It is a lot longer then I ever wanted it to be, but to try and sum up 30,000 years of activities in 15 slides is absurd. I have been emailing my teacher to make sure my grammar is correct. A funny thing happens though when I get the info back. He has been changing it to make France sound better. EX: When I talk about WW2 I mention how northern France was with the allies and southern France was with Hitler. I get the slide back and it is changed to 'France was liberated in 1943.' I have the liberation info on the next slide so it is a bit odd to me that he would completely ignore the Hitler slide. I realize that there is a huge identity crisis going on in Europe about how to deal with the whole WW2, mass murdering fuckhead issue. We talked a lot about this in Genocide class. But the truth is that part of France was with Hitler, it may not have been by choice, but they were. They were in a join or die situation and they decided to join. Many others did too. It has to be hard to accept what happened then, but it did happen and the best thing Europe can do is learn from it.

I put the slide back in. I hope it doesn't hinder my grade.

Don't mind my backtracking, but Boston was great. There was quality time spent with Liz, an afternoon with Josh, Sunday breakfast with my favorite almost parents, and of course new food tried. This time around I had steamers. They look gross, I am not going to lie. They taste semi-good. The belly of the steamer was good, the outer stuff, not so much. Seafood is still a vastly unexplored area to me. I did learn how to make the most amazing scallops though, so whenever you are in the mood let me know. I will whip something up. We dyed Easter eggs while I was there. I haven't done that in a few years. They had this Tye Dye kit and let me tell you, that thing was confusing as all hell. I could not figure it out for the life of me. Something about a damp cloth and an eye dropper. Who knows. We made some pretty amazing looking eggs. I'm not going to lie, I think I have a gift.

Come the fall and I will be a senior in college. I have 9 classes left to take, which should make for a pretty relaxed senior year. That makes me happy.

I was so happy today that I ended up inviting the fam over for some nice BBQ Salmon and Pork Steaks. Odd combo, but oh so good. Rachel Ray would have been extremely proud of the meal I whipped up. Since I will be missing prime BBQing time this summer, I have to get an early start. It was B E A utiful today and I couldn't fathom sitting inside. Plus it also gave me an excuse to play with Dominic and Claw. I love those 2 kids.

NBS is paying me to clean her house on Wednesday. It's just her and Colin, how they get that thing dirty is beyond me. But it does mean that I get some Ted Drews. Her house is prime location for some TD. I notice that TD is rather cheap compared to some of the custard places up here. It was one thing when most of my friends worked at Fritz's and I got it for free, but now that the gravy train has stopped, I find their pricing outrages.

Have a good night and remember to stop, drop and roll
